Trouble Connecting via Remote Desktop to My Windows 11 PC

Hey everyone, I'm facing an issue trying to remotely connect to another Windows 11 PC using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). I keep getting a message saying, "The logon attempt failed" in red on the Windows Security login screen. This happens even when I use a local admin account on the remote computer. I've also created a new profile on my computer to test it out, but other machines can connect just fine to the remote PC. I'm at a loss here—anyone have any ideas on why this is happening?

Check your security settings. If your system’s security baseline is set to only allow domain accounts, that could be blocking local account RDP access.

Is the PC joined to a domain or not? Sometimes domain settings restrict RDP access.

It could be due to differences in system time between the machines. Make sure both are synchronized.

Are you connecting via IP or hostname? If you haven't already, try connecting directly using the IP address.

Have you checked if someone else is already logged into the remote system? They might be declining your connection inadvertently.
