What Tools Can I Use to Identify My PC’s Performance Issues?

I have an older PC and typically only upgrade components when they fail, usually with help from my local computer shop. I'm trying to figure out a way to identify what's causing my frame drops before the system totally fails. Is there any software that can help me pinpoint the bottleneck? I'm new to upgrading components and would prefer to troubleshoot and fix it myself if possible. Thanks for your help!

Also, since you mentioned your PC specs, you might want to look into upgrading. Your CPU, the i7-5820K, is a bit dated now, and you may see better performance with a newer GPU. Keep an eye on those metrics, and consider your budget for an upgrade!

To find what's bottlenecking your PC, start by checking your GPU utilization. If it's hitting 95-100% during games, that means your GPU is likely the limiting factor. If the utilization is lower, your CPU could be holding things back instead. Just make sure you don’t have any frame rate limits set in your games.
