I'm contemplating an upgrade from my current GPU, the 9060XT, to the 5070Ti. I'm trying to determine if this upgrade is worthwhile given that I mostly game at 1080p and don't have plans to switch to 1440p any time soon. I picked the 9060XT initially because I also had a console, but now that I've sold that and game exclusively on PC, I'm concerned it might fall short in the future. I've come across information suggesting that the 9060XT is below the recommended specs for some upcoming games like STALKER 2, and I suspect this might be my last chance to grab a 5070Ti for under $1,000. Have any of you made a similar upgrade? Do you think the 9060XT can handle 1080p gaming for a few more years, or would you recommend pulling the trigger on the 5070Ti?

Stalker 2 is a tricky one; it might stress the 9060XT, but it should still manage decent frame rates at 1080p with high settings. Don't get too caught up in ultra settings—it’s not always worth it for minor gains in visuals.
Absolutely, and if you're using features like upscaling, you could see better performance!
Honestly, switching to a 5070Ti for 1080p gaming feels a bit excessive. The 9060XT is quite capable for that resolution. If your current setup handles everything well, you might be just fine sticking with it and saving the cash for a future upgrade instead. Just don’t let FOMO get the best of you!
I totally get that! Sometimes we just want the best graphics. But yeah, focus on enjoying what you have, especially with a solid card like the 9060XT.
Exactly! If you’re content with the visuals for now, it’s better to wait until you really need an upgrade.
The 5070Ti is definitely overkill for 1080p. Unless you're into competitive gaming where high refresh rates matter, or need it for something like video editing, the 9060XT should suffice for now. Save your money for when you really need it!
That's a good point. The 9060XT can still deliver solid performance at 1080p, and optimizing settings can go a long way!
For sure! And most games won't even push your card to its limits at that resolution.
If you think you'll eventually go for a better display, say at least 1440p, then an upgrade could make sense. But if you’re sticking to 1080p, I’d hold off for now. The 9060XT is still a premium option for that setup!
Yeah, makes sense! You want to get the best experience when you do upgrade everything.
Right? No need to waste money unless you’re ready for a serious upgrade all around.
You might want to consider that the 5070Ti's price isn't going to drop soon. If you can afford it and really want Nvidia's features, then go for it. But keep in mind that the 9060XT will hold up well for a few years, especially if you're playing at 1080p.
Good advice! If you're not in a rush, it’s probably best to hold off and see how your current card performs.
Exactly! No need to jump the gun if your current GPU still meets your needs.

For sure! You’re often better off playing around with settings to find the right balance.
