I've been curious about whether limiting frame rates with Vsync can actually lower the heat output of a PC. If Vsync caps the frame rate to match the monitor's refresh rate (which is usually lower than the maximum FPS the system can produce), would turning on Vsync effectively help in reducing heat generation?
