I'm looking to upgrade my brother's PC, which is currently running on a Ryzen 5 5600G. I want to ensure we can play the same games together, so I'm sticking with the AM4 socket for its future upgrade potential without the premium price of AM5 CPUs. I've already got a 1 TB SSD and 32GB DDR4 RAM, but I'm stuck on which CPU to get. I'm considering the Ryzen 5 5600X and the Ryzen 7 5700, but I'm unsure which would be better for gaming and general work, all while keeping an eye on the budget. I'm also open to any other recommendations.

Honestly, I think sticking with the Ryzen 5 5600G is a solid option. You might not notice a huge difference with the upgrade to the 5600X or 5700, especially with that GPU. Plus, the integrated graphics can come in handy if anything goes wrong with the dedicated card.
