I'm currently using a GTX 1080, and I'm looking to switch to an AMD GPU. The main reason for the switch is to move away from NVIDIA. I play games like Red Dead Redemption 2, CS2, Minecraft, HOI4, and GTA V, so I want something that can handle those well. What's a solid AMD option that fits my budget of about 300€?

It's frustrating to see that GPU manufacturers still produce 8GB cards in 2026; that feels outdated. Yet people keep buying them!
Have you thought about trying out Intel's offerings? They might have something interesting for your budget.
I’d recommend the 9060 XT 8GB. It's usually just over 300€, but if you're thinking of saving some bucks, the Intel Arc B580 is below 300€ and could be a decent alternative. However, the cost gap isn't huge, so the 9060 XT is usually a better buy for performance.
The 9060 XT 8GB is a great pick for around your budget, though it's often just slightly above 300€. If you can stretch a bit, the 16GB version would be even better. You could also consider going for a used RX6800XT or RX7700XT if you find them within your price range!
I’ve checked, but I can’t find the 6800XT near my 300€ limit; it’s around 400€ where I live. Is it really worth the extra cash?
Maybe check out a used 3080? It might be a stretch, but it can be a solid option if you find a good deal.
You might want to double-check, though; that's a lot for an older card!

Totally agree, the 9060 XT is a solid new option!
