I'm having a frustrating issue with my PC right now. It had a strange bug where I couldn't open any apps, but I managed to fix that. However, I'm still struggling with the Wi-Fi. It now says that the Ethernet is connected, but there's no internet access. To make things worse, it doesn't even show that it's connected to Ethernet anymore. Any help would be appreciated!

Could you provide more details about your setup? What type of PC do you have, and what is your Ethernet port connected to? When you say there's 'no internet,' are you seeing any specific error messages?
If you can't open apps and your network is down, it might be a bigger issue, possibly some malware. Keep an eye out for that!
Have you tried connecting a different device using the same Ethernet cable? If you don't have another device, you could check the cable and see if that might be the issue too.
I don't think I have another device to test it on, but I'll look into it.
It sounds like your network might be down rather than your PC being the issue. Have you tried rebooting your ISP equipment? Sometimes a simple restart can fix connectivity problems.

There have been a few similar cases where both Wi-Fi and Ethernet suddenly stopped working, which seems to be related to a recent Windows update. Since the network cards are from different manufacturers, it might be a driver issue affecting everyone.

You could also try running the network troubleshooter tool. Reinstalling or updating your network driver might help too. If all else fails, power cycling your modem or router could sort it out!
I've tried everything but changing my cable and updating Windows. I can't update Windows without Wi-Fi, though.
