My PC is stuck on the boot screen—any ideas?

I turned off my PC after some gaming last night, but when I tried to start it up this morning, it only shows the HP Omen logo and gets stuck there. There's no spinning wheel underneath like there usually is, and I waited for about 15 minutes with no change. I attempted to boot into safe mode by pressing F8, but I only see the BIOS text briefly before getting a black screen. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is my PC ruined?

It sounds like you can't access recovery mode, but you might still be able to get into BIOS. Try downloading the Windows 11 installation media from Microsoft and making a bootable USB stick. Once you've got that, go into BIOS and set the boot order to USB. This should let you boot from the USB and access the Windows recovery options where you can try safe mode or a startup repair.

If you can't access BIOS yet, you'll need to find the right key to press when your PC is starting up. Usually, it's Delete, F2, or F10, but it can vary. And yes, you'll need to restart to enter the BIOS when you see that boot logo.
