I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup for 1080p gaming, specifically to play titles like Apex Legends and Minecraft with shaders at a stable 144fps. I currently have an RTX 3060 GPU and an AMD Ryzen 5 4500 CPU, paired with an ASUS PRIME B450M-A II motherboard, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 465GB SSD. I'm interested in feedback on which components I should focus on upgrading, and I'd prefer AMD for the CPU. I've heard good things about x3d CPUs, but they're not easily available in my country. What are my best options?

Right now is a tough time for hardware upgrades, but if you're considering a CPU upgrade, the 5800X3D or 5700X3D are solid choices. However, since you mentioned affordability, a 9070 XT could be worthwhile as a new GPU, especially if you keep everything else. If you prefer NVIDIA, the 5070 Ti is your best bet, but definitely compare local prices before committing.

But will the 5800X be fine if I go that route?

With your current specs, you should be able to hit decent fps in Apex Legends. I would suggest checking what kind of fps you're getting right now; you might find that your setup is already performing okay. Many users report around 90-110 fps at lower graphics settings and 1280x1024 resolution with setups like yours, so that might give you some perspective.

Yeah, I usually sit around that range too—could be worse!
