I'm considering buying the i5-14600KF CPU for my son, but it's currently backordered at NewEgg for $228. I previously purchased the i5-14600K for $175 last October with a bonus cooler. I know future prices are unpredictable, but I'm trying to decide if I should secure an order at this price now or wait until it's back in stock and possibly lower. Any advice?

I think Intel might be winding down production of that CPU, which would likely drive prices up.
