Why Does My PC Keep Freezing After Upgrading My GPU?

I've recently upgraded my computer with a new GPU, the 5070, and a power supply unit rated at 850 W. Since the installation, my PC has been freezing and crashing unexpectedly. I keep receiving an error message that says, 'Your rendering device has been lost! Application closing!' I'm struggling to pinpoint what's causing these issues. Any help would be appreciated!

It sounds like your GPU could be facing either a hardware problem or a driver issue. Since you mentioned the error about the rendering device, it’s definitely related to your new GPU. Just out of curiosity, what was your previous GPU? And did you use DDU to completely remove the old drivers before installing the new one?

Did you make sure to download the right drivers for your 5070? That might help resolve the crashing and freezing problem you're experiencing.
