How can I stop my Maximum Frequency settings from being overridden?

I'm having trouble with my Lenovo Legion laptop. I found a setting called 'Maximum Power Frequency' and adjusted it to 3900MHz to help reduce temperatures. However, every time I plug in or unplug my laptop, the setting gets reset to 0. I've already disabled Lenovo AI services and prevented the Lenovo application from starting up, but it seems something else is causing the override. Does anyone have suggestions on how to figure out what's changing my settings?

It sounds like the setting does apply since you see the CPU drop from 4.2GHz to around 3.2-3.5GHz when you set it. Creating a batch file to run on startup is a good temporary fix. It would be even better to find out why it's being disabled in the first place. Maybe there's a background service or application that's overriding your settings?

Have you checked if there's a log for when you apply the settings? Sometimes the new setting might not save correctly, which could be why it's reverting back to 0. It could be worth investigating if that's the case!
