What career options are available if I love DSA but dislike development?

I recently graduated with a degree in Information and Communication Technology and I have a strong passion for Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), but I really don't enjoy development work. I'm looking for career paths where I can focus on DSA without much, or any, development involved. Are there options available, or is that a rare niche?

It sounds like you want to focus on pure DSA, but that might be tough. Most jobs that use DSA significantly are still going to require some sort of development. If you enjoy teaching, pursuing a PhD and teaching could be a way to go! Otherwise, maybe consider data analysis roles where you can leverage your skills without heavy coding.

Have you thought about areas like competitive programming coaching or quant roles? These often require DSA expertise but might not have the same development emphasis. Just a heads up, though—most tech jobs will involve some level of coding, so you might want to keep that in mind.

That makes sense! I appreciate the advice. I might just need to adapt my expectations.
