Thoughts on Budget Mini PCs from Amazon for Thin Clients?

I'm exploring options for thin clients to connect to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and considering some budget mini PCs available on Amazon. While I'm tempted by their low prices, I have a gut feeling they might not be reliable. Are there major concerns or issues I should be aware of before making a purchase?

I'd recommend reaching out to people who specialize in mini PCs. There are definitely brands you want to avoid, while others are worth looking into. Just remember that many of them may require reimaging for safety's sake. I know someone who bought a few for home use and they worked fine, but their brand choice slips my mind right now.

I'd look for HP thin clients instead. Some of the refurbished units are actually pretty good and less sketchy compared to those mini PCs from China. They typically come with AVD support built into the OS, making them a safer bet for your needs.

Yeah, the prices have increased a bit but they're still a solid option! They often hover around $100-160 now.
