Windows 11 Issues: Apps Not Working Properly After Internet Connection Problems

I'm using Windows 11 on my PC, and I'm having a lot of trouble with my frequently used apps. When I start my computer, Discord keeps showing an "update failed" message, Steam displays my account info incorrectly, and the Riot Client claims there's "no internet found". Even when I tried to launch Roblox from my browser, it gave me a message about failing to download settings and asked me to check my internet connection.

I've already tried a bunch of things: restarting my PC, toggling my internet antennas on and off, running a scan with Malwarebytes, turning off my Windows Firewall, and even doing an internet speed test. The speed test results were good, but I had to switch off the firewall to run it, and the other issues haven't been resolved. I really need some help with this!

*Edit: It turned out that an app was messing with my Windows settings. Once I uninstalled it, everything started working perfectly again!*

Sounds like your firewall could have been blocking the connections you needed. Since you had to turn it off just to run a speed test, it's possible that whatever app was changing your settings also affected how your firewall interacts with other apps. You might want to double-check the firewall settings to see what got changed. If the other apps still act up, try rebooting your PC to let them recognize that the internet is working fine now.

Thanks for the tips! It really was that weird app screwing things up.
