I'm getting a new rig delivered soon and I'm looking for some recommendations on which Linux distribution to install. I'll be using it mainly for gaming, as well as some picture and video editing, plus a bit of 3D model slicing and merging for printing. I've got pretty decent specs: an MSI X870E motherboard, Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, Thermaltake 360 AIO cooler, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, xfx Quicksilver 9070xt GPU, a 2TB PCIe 5.0 SSD, a 3TB SATA drive, and a 1000W PSU. I've used Mint on another laptop and have set up a Raspberry Pi with it, so I'm somewhat familiar with it. I'm comfortable with using the command line, but I'd prefer a distribution with a nice graphical interface. Any suggestions?

If you're feeling adventurous, Tumbleweed is a great rolling release, but Fedora is generally more stable for gaming. With your specs, having updated software will be key, so you might want to try Fedora first.
Considering your new hardware, I'd recommend Fedora. It tends to support the latest drivers and software, which is crucial for gaming. I also think Arch-based systems might be a bit tricky for you right now, so starting with Fedora could set you up well. Let me know how it goes!
You might want to stick with Mint if you're already familiar with it. It's user-friendly and should work fine for your needs. Once you get comfortable in your new setup, you can experiment with other distros on your old machine. Just a thought!
Fedora is a solid choice! I just installed it on my new rig, and everything was super easy to set up. I've been able to play games like FF9 and Stone, and they all work flawlessly. You might also want to check out the Flatpak version of Steam for the best experience.
