Looking for Budget-Friendly PC Upgrades for Gaming

I'm looking to breathe some new life into my gaming PC, which is starting to struggle with modern games. I have an AMD A10-9700 processor and an AMD Radeon RX 560 with 2 GB VRAM. I recently faced issues running Helldivers 2 due to my CPU not being powerful enough. My budget for upgrades is a maximum of $70, and I'm based on the East Coast of the USA. I've seen some CPUs listed on the Steam page for Helldivers 2 for under $30, but I'm curious about what the pros think and what the best options are given my financial constraints. By the way, I also have 8 GB of RAM, which I know isn't ideal right now, but I can live with that for the time being.

First things first, what motherboard are you using? If you can identify that, it may allow you to consider upgrading to a Ryzen 3000 series CPU. Also, your GPU could be a bottleneck. If you're lucky, you might find a decent used one for $50-$60, but shipping could eat into your budget. I'd suggest focusing on one part at a time!

Your expectations for a $70 budget might be a bit high, my dude. With your specs—a 4 core/4 thread CPU, 2GB GPU, and only 8GB of RAM—you’re pretty limited. Also, even browsing YouTube will be a challenge! You're asking for a miracle on this budget.

Honestly, you might want to consider saving up a bit more. Check out sites like Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist for used PCs; you’d be surprised what people are giving away or selling cheap. I used to run a GTX 1660 Ti with an Intel 9400F, and it handled games quite well for years. You could find some decent used GPUs or systems if you look around. Good luck!

Yeah, I’d suggest saving up too. You won't get anything really worthwhile for $70. Honestly, if it’s just for gaming, maybe consider getting an Xbox Series S instead. It could be a more effective solution for your gaming needs!
