Hey everyone! I'm transitioning from console gaming (I've been using a Series X) to building my first PC. I want to get your opinion on whether this setup offers good value for performance. I went with an AM4 setup since it was the most budget-friendly option. Here's what I've got:
- Motherboard: B550M Gaming X WiFi6 - $101
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5800XT - $208
- GPU: RTX 3080 FE - $375
- SSD: WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe Internal SSD, 2TB - ~$170
- RAM: G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3200MHz - $85 (scored a deal on that one!)
- Case: LiAn Li V100R Mini - $64
- Cooler: Thermalright Aqua Elite 360 ARGB Liquid Cooler - $54
- PSU: ASRock PRO Series PRO-850B 850W ATX 3.1 Compatible 80 PLUS Bronze - $65
Total comes to about $1,122 before taxes, so I expect it to be over $1,300 after. I've got all the parts except for the power supply. What do you think?

This is honestly one of the most reasonable PC builds I've seen! By the way, where did you find a 2TB NVMe drive for just $170? That’s a steal!
I think you could invest an extra $20-$30 for a better power supply, but everything else looks really solid!
Your build looks great, but I'd suggest avoiding bronze-rated PSUs if you can. Also, you scored big with that RAM price!
Not a bad setup at all! Just a heads-up, be mindful of your resolution. The 3080 FE has 10GB of VRAM, which can get tricky at 1440p. You might need to dial down some settings. But otherwise, it should handle 1080p wonderfully! And $85 for 32GB of RAM is a ridiculous deal!
Yeah, I'm planning to game at 1440p, lol.
Looks good! I don't see any issues with your build at all, and your pricing seems solid too. Nice job!

Oh, I work at Walmart, and the store near me had it for around $186. With my associate discount, it was a great deal!
