How to Enable Full RAM Speed After BIOS Issue?

I recently built my own PC and it worked perfectly for about a month. However, today when I tried to boot up, it got stuck on the BIOS screen with an orange light on the motherboard. After some digging, I found out that this was likely a RAM issue. I tried reseating the RAM, but that didn't help. When I disabled XMP in the BIOS, my PC booted up just fine. Now, I want to know how to use the full 6000 MHz of RAM that I paid for. I have an Asus Rog Crosshair Hero x870e motherboard and G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RAM. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you're dealing with an AMD platform, and sometimes RAM can be picky depending on its profile compatibility. Your motherboard supports AMD EXPO, so you should enable that instead of Intel's XMP. Check if your RAM supports EXPO and then give that a shot in the BIOS! That might help you utilize the full speed instead of being limited after disabling XMP.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely check for the EXPO settings.
