I'm currently using an i7 7700k and I'm considering an upgrade. I have 32GB of DDR4 RAM already, but I'm seeing how expensive DDR5 is right now. Should I stick with DDR4 and build a new system around it, or is it better to wait for prices to drop?

If your DDR4 is around 3200-3600MHz, you're in a good spot! You could easily upgrade to an i5 from the latest series and notice a solid improvement without breaking the bank. Just make sure to check compatibility with the motherboard.
Definitely stick with DDR4! The newer Intel CPUs (12th-14th gen) work great with DDR4, so you can still get impressive performance without jumping to DDR5.
Building a system with DDR4 is a smart move right now. The 12th-gen i5 models are fantastic options. And don't forget to update your BIOS if you're considering new generations!

For sure! Plus, reusing your existing DDR4 will save you a lot of money which is always a bonus.
