I'm having a really frustrating time with Cyberpunk 2077 because my GPU utilization is extremely low while my CPU seems to be working much harder. I have an RTX 5070 Ti and a Ryzen 5 7600X, and no matter the resolution, I can't seem to get above 60-70 FPS. I've previously used an RTX 3070 in the same setup and was hitting over 100 FPS at 1440p with max settings, so it feels odd that this current setup struggles.
Even at 4K with DLAA and max settings, if I turn off ray tracing, my GPU utilization drops below 70%. When I turn on path tracing at 4K, the GPU utilization spikes to 90% or even 97%, but my FPS only reaches around 40-45. I really doubt it's a CPU bottleneck since I had no issues with the previous card.
I've tried updating my drivers, using DDU for the GPU upgrade, and monitoring temperatures, which all seem normal. I even considered updating my motherboard (Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX V2), but I'm not sure that's the cause. Is there anything else I could try before going crazy with this issue?

I've been having trouble too, with ghosting and stuttering after several reinstalls. It seems like it might be related to newer drivers or something with the settings files because no other games pose issues for me.
Make sure to check if you have any mods that could be causing performance issues. Some can add a lot of overhead to your system.
I do have mods, but they didn’t cause any issues with my previous card, so I didn’t think they'd be a problem now.
It sounds like it might not be a motherboard issue. If enabling ray tracing is increasing GPU workload, then it’s probably not a temp problem either. Have you checked for any sync options, like G-Sync or V-Sync, that might be capping your FPS in ways you didn't expect?
I actually have G-Sync enabled, but there’s no FPS cap active. It was on with my previous card too.
Definitely check the Nvidia Control Panel and any settings in GeForce Experience. I had a similar FPS cap problem once that limited everything to 30 FPS for no reason!
I can’t say for sure what’s causing your issue, but my setup with an i5 11500 and a 4070 Super shows much higher GPU utilization. I'm wondering if something is misaligned in your configuration. My CPU usage varies a lot, but the GPU stays above 90%. Your gear shouldn’t face bottlenecks at 4K with what you have.
Thanks for sharing that. It's definitely puzzling why my utilization is so low.
First off, have you considered uninstalling Cyberpunk 2077 along with any mods you have? A clean reinstallation can sometimes fix odd performance issues, and I don't think it's your motherboard causing the problem. Keep in mind that path tracing can be CPU intensive, too.
That's a good idea! I'll have to do that, but my internet is a bit slow, so it'll take me a while to redownload.

I haven’t experienced ghosting, but I’m beginning to think it might all come down to driver issues.
