I built my PC last year after snagging a great deal, but I've been facing serious issues over the last couple of months. When I play certain games, it just powers off without any warning, and other times I experience extreme lag, e.g., just 3 fps even in low-demand games like Minecraft. This lag persists even after I force close the game and only resolves after a complete reboot. I never had these issues until I moved to my new house. My specs are: 32 GB Corsair DDR5, RTX 4060TI, Ryzen 7 7700X (8-core), 880W Corsair PSU, and Windows 11.

Before jumping straight to hardware issues, make sure you've checked all your settings. Sometimes, lag could be caused by running background processes or insufficient cooling. Also, installing the latest drivers can make a big difference. If the problem persists, definitely look into the power supply as a potential cause.
It sounds like a power supply issue, especially since your PC shuts down entirely. Given that it’s just a year old, it should still be under warranty, so consider contacting the manufacturer for a replacement. If you have another PSU available, you could test that too. Also, if you don't want to wait for a replacement, bringing your PC to a local tech store like Microcenter could help diagnose the problem quickly.
You should try verifying if there are any BIOS updates that could help stabilize the system. Just remember to back up your data before making any changes, as anything involving BIOS can sometimes go south. If you're not comfortable doing that, consider reaching out to someone who can help.
That sounds like a good plan! I’ll look into updates before making any other changes.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check my settings first and update my drivers. It'd be great if that resolves the lag before I swap out hardware!
