Looking for Budget-Friendly Software for Smartcard ID Badge Printing

I'm looking for recommendations for software to print ID badges using blank Smartcards. We have around 8000 cards to customize, and while we could use a basic Word document template, it's a bit tricky. Ideally, we want every employee's photo and barcode to be consistently placed on the cards. Any suggestions for software that can help us standardize this process? We're hoping to find something affordable, preferably free or low-cost.

Honestly, for a project of this size, you need a complete issuance system. Look for a PVC card printer that covers everything—from photo capture to printing, and even applying a protective film. Your current approach won't cut it for 8000+ cards!

We're actually set up with Fido2-based cards, so we don’t really need the certificate verification, just a good printing setup.

You might want to check if your printer comes with any template or software options, that's a big plus. It's crucial to know how you're actually printing these cards. Most manufacturers have some resources that could save you a lot of hassle!

Unfortunately, we have an old printer from a vendor that's out of business, and they didn't provide any templates. So we're stuck there.
