Help! My Apple ID was deleted and I can’t access my photos

I recently found out that my Apple ID, which I've had for over 20 years, was deleted without any clear reason from Apple. They mentioned I might have violated some terms, but they couldn't specify what it was. Now, I'm getting constant reminders on my phone to enter a password for an account that no longer exists. I can't access the iCloud photos that are stuck there, and I've run out of space on my phone to store them. I've managed to airdrop some to my MacBook, but the rest are just thumbnails. I bought a Sandisk flash drive to transfer my photos, but I can't download the necessary app because my Apple ID is gone. Does anyone have any suggestions for retrieving my years of photos? I thought cloud backups were meant to prevent data loss!

I feel your pain! Something similar happened to me with my family account. One day, it just got disabled out of the blue, and I couldn't retrieve anything. Make sure to check if there are any forums or recent discussions about similar instances; you might find some tips from others who've navigated this!

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds super frustrating! You might want to escalate this issue and ask to speak with a supervisor at Apple. Given that you’ve had your account for so long, they should have more flexibility to help you out. Also, if you recently used an Apple Gift Card, that could be connected to the issue. Keep the receipt handy just in case!

Just a heads up, though—if your account was disabled for violating terms of service, a supervisor probably won’t be able to reverse that decision. It's tough, but Apple has strict policies.
