Hey everyone,
I attempted to buy a new MacBook Air from the Apple Store today using Apple Pay along with a voucher. During the checkout process, I encountered an error that said, "too many requests," and then I couldn't proceed any further.
The odd part is that my banking app indicates the money was already deducted from my account, but there's no order confirmation visible on the Apple website. When I contacted Apple Support, they mentioned they couldn't find any order in their system either.
The support agent informed me that the money should be returned within 1 to 2 days. However, I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has experienced this issue and how long it took for their refund.
My main concern is whether Apple could still process the original order, or if a refund is the only option since the order didn't seem to go through at all?
Thanks for your help!
Also, just in case it matters: I'm in Germany and purchased through the Apple Edu Store.

It looks like Apple never received your order. Since you didn't get an order number or any confirmation email, they don't have anything to process on their end. So unfortunately, it seems like the only thing that will happen here is a refund.
Don't worry! The funds will just revert back to your account or credit card automatically since this didn’t go through. Apple nor your bank can do much here—it's just a waiting game now.
Appreciate the reassurance!
What you have is a pending charge, and your bank will typically drop it based on their policy if the merchant doesn't finalize the transaction. It takes usually 1 to 5 business days for this to clear.
Thank you for the info!

Cheers, makes sense if you think about it like that.
