Help! My PC Got Soda Spilled On It – What Should I Do?

I accidentally spilled about half a bottle of soda into my tower, and now I can't open any icons on my desktop. I mean, Google won't load, and I can't access the sound or Wi-Fi settings. It just shows a blank desktop with no pop-ups from any apps when I restart my computer. The system stays powered on without turning off, so I'm wondering if anything is broken or if I just need to let it dry out. Can anyone advise me on what parts I might need or what steps to take next?

You definitely need to turn off and unplug your PC if it’s still on after the spill. Liquid like soda can cause shorts and corrosion, and using the computer while it's wet can lead to more damage. It's hard to tell exactly what you need without inspecting the PC, but cleaning the components is crucial. I recommend taking it to a professional to get it checked out.

I did turn it off right after the spill and tried drying it with paper towels. Now I’m worried about the damage since I didn’t have isopropyl alcohol to clean it properly.
