Our SRE/DevOps team is tasked with showcasing what we've been working on to leadership, which can feel pretty tedious in a large corporate environment. We're pulling metrics from several platforms, including Datadog, Jira, our internal ticketing system, and our CRM. I'm considering a few options for compiling these reports: PowerPoint or Excel for easy sharing, a SharePoint page, or possibly a dashboard with PowerBI. If anyone has gone through a similar process, I'd love to hear your suggestions on what worked for you!

You might want to explore Apache DevLake; it could offer a streamlined way to visualize and report metrics effectively.
I think AI can be really helpful here! You might consider connecting your data sources with something like MCP to analyze and integrate everything. From an SRE standpoint, using DORA metrics could provide a solid foundation for your report. You could even set it up on a Confluence page for better accessibility.
Just an FYI, our CRM is Salesforce, so that might help narrow down some options for integration!
In a similar situation, I tracked metrics from our IaC deployments using AWS tools like EventBridge and Glue. I was able to use Athena to query our data catalog and created a Streamlit app for easy viewing. It didn't take long to set up, and I could always add more data sources later. Having a well-designed UI with metrics, like CI workflow counts and deployment stats, went over really well with everyone here!
From what I’ve seen, leadership usually appreciates quantifiable metrics like time and money saved. Just be careful with Jira metrics, though, as they can sometimes foster a toxic environment if they're overly focused on sprint points and closed tickets.

I totally agree! I use SPACE metrics too because I've noticed a direct correlation between team satisfaction and productivity. It really helps to have both perspectives.
