Help with Persistent Read-Only Filesystem on MacBook Pro

I'm having a frustrating issue with my installations on two different MacBook Pro 2015 models. They both keep switching to a read-only file system, even after I perform clean installs and have formatted the drives multiple times. I'm unable to install or update anything on either machine. Has anyone experienced something similar or has suggestions on how to fix this?

You might want to check out DistroSea, which lets you test Linux distros right in your browser. It could help you find a distro that works better for your setups. Also, there's Penguins-Eggs, a tool that lets you create custom Linux distros or backups. It might be worth exploring to see if it resolves your issues!

Penguins-Eggs sounds interesting! Does it allow for easy cloning of current setups? I could use something like that for my testing.

What Linux distribution are you trying to install? That can make a big difference in how the system handles file permissions.
