Could My Power Supply Unit Be Failing?

I'm dealing with some frustrating stability issues on my computer, like random black screens that require a reboot to fix, especially after waking from sleep mode. using HWInfo, I've noticed that the +12V rail is averaging around 9.96V, which seems really low. Is this a common reporting error, or does it indicate that my power supply might be failing?

The +5V rail looks fine since it's within the normal range, but that 12V rail is concerning. A reading below 11.8V is risky and could actually harm your components. It's best to stop using the current PSU and look for a replacement. You might want to check out psutierlist.org to find a quality option. Montech has some good Century 2 units at a decent price right now.

Thanks for the advice! Do you think the low reading is genuine or just a reporting glitch? I'm ready to get a new one, just want to be 100% sure.

Yeah, 10V on that +12 rail is definitely low. Usually, it should be in the high 11s to low 12s. Have you checked with HWInfo64 for accurate readings?
