I've been using Ubuntu Linux for a while, but I've always struggled with the lack of a native WhatsApp Desktop client. Is there any Linux distribution that can help me run WhatsApp Desktop like I would on Windows? I'm really tired of using Windows 11, so I'm hoping to find a solid workaround.

There's also a cool alternative called ZapZap. It's not the official app but works really well for WhatsApp on Linux. You can find it on GitHub!

You could just use the web version of WhatsApp at web.whatsapp.com. It's pretty handy and works well on Linux! Plus, you won't have to deal with installations or compatibility issues.

Just a heads up – WhatsApp is discontinuing the Windows app in favor of a web app, so the browser option is probably going to be the most reliable moving forward!

If you want a desktop experience, try installing WhatsApp through Snap! It works great, and I use it all the time. Also, there's a browser extension available that functions well on Firefox.

I'm a fan of Ferdium for multiple messaging apps, including WhatsApp. It integrates nicely and is very user-friendly.
