Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a PC that can handle Counter-Strike 2 smoothly without breaking the bank, especially with the current high prices for components like RAM. What are the minimum specs I should aim for to have a good gaming experience with CS2? Thanks for any tips you can share!

Don't forget to mention your budget! It's crucial for determining the specs you can afford.
If you're not against buying used, look for a PC with a 5800X3D or 5700X3D. I just upgraded from the 5800X3D to a 9800X3D mainly to improve my girlfriend's setup; we both play CS2 a lot.
What cooling solution are you using for that CPU?
If you don’t have a monitor yet or are planning to upgrade, that can significantly impact what specs will work for you in CS2. A good monitor might be just as important as the PC components themselves.
For a solid CS2 experience, you should consider these specs: CPU options like the Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel i5 12400F, and for RAM, go with 16GB (2x8GB) at 3600MHz. A B450 motherboard for AMD or H610/B760 for Intel works well. For storage, pick an SSD of your choice. As for the graphics card, the RX 5700XT or RX 6600XT is a great budget-friendly option. This setup should easily give you around 300-500 FPS for CS2 without overspending!
A GTX 1650 should also be sufficient for CS2 if you're looking to save more!
You might want to consider starting with a Ryzen 7800X3D; it's specifically designed to handle demanding games like CS2. They perform well even with drops in low FPS scenarios.
Looking at a high refresh rate monitor could really enhance your gameplay experience in CS2, so keep that in mind when budgeting your build.

I'm hoping to keep it under $1000, just for the tower.
