Looking for Advice on Buying a New Computer

Hey everyone! I'm new here and this is my first post, so I hope I'm doing this right. I'm on the hunt for a new computer since I'm finally not stuck with a school Chromebook anymore. One thing's for sure: I really don't want a Mac! My whole family uses them, but they're just not for me. I'm heading into some advanced classes next year, including college-level engineering, coding, and CAD modeling, so I need something reliable and capable. My family is open to buying me a Mac if I want, but it seems like I could find something better for my needs. A friend suggested checking out an Acer Nitro laptop, but I'm not sure which model would offer the best price-to-performance ratio. Also, I like having customizable options, so the more flexibility, the better! Thanks in advance for your help!

Before you decide, I suggest looking at a few pre-built models that fit your needs. If you're not up for building your own PC, I can help you find some great options. Share the exact Acer Nitro models you're considering, and we can break down which one gives you the most bang for your buck!

Thanks for the advice! I'm not allowed to build my own PC, unfortunately. I’ll definitely get back to you with the links of the Acer models I've been looking at. Maybe that will help narrow down my options!
