iPad Apps Stopped Working After iOS Update – What Can I Do?

I've been using Viz Manga and Shonen Jump on my 6th generation iPad without any problems, but after updating to iOS 17.7.6 yesterday, neither app is working anymore. They both give me an SSL error and can't connect to WiFi or cellular. My WiFi is working fine as all my other apps and the browser are functioning normally. I've already tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps like resetting the router, hard resetting the iPad, reconfiguring the network settings, deleting my VPN, disabling the private WiFi address, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the apps, but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions on what I should do next?

You might want to check if there's an available update for your iPad. Some users found that updating to iOS 18.4 fixed similar issues. If it says your iPad is up to date at 17.7.6, it could be a glitch. Keep checking back though, sometimes it takes a bit to roll out updates.

Have you tried reaching out to the app developers? They might be aware of the SSL error and could provide a specific fix or update for it. Sometimes app issues arise from new iOS versions, and the developers can bring out patches quickly.
