I've recently upgraded to Windows 11, and I'm experiencing issues when trying to launch Fortnite—it crashes and throws a "kernel security check" error. This wasn't a problem when I was using Windows 10, not even when I played Dead by Daylight. I've made some hardware upgrades, like changing my CPU cooler and installing an SSD, and I'm planning to upgrade my GPU too. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue? Here are my PC specs for reference: AMD Ryzen 7 1700 CPU, Cooler Master Liquid CPU Cooler, MSI X470 Gaming Plus Motherboard, 16GB of RAM, PNY 1TB NVMe SSD, and an MSI Radeon RX 470 GPU.

Try checking for BIOS updates as well. Sometimes kernel issues can arise from an outdated BIOS. If you're unsure how to do that, YouTube has plenty of tutorials that could help guide you. Also, keep an eye on your RAM; it might need to be reseated or checked for any issues, especially since you mentioned having similar problems before.
First off, make sure that Fortnite is fully updated. Then, verify the integrity of the game files through your game launcher, just in case something got corrupted. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall Fortnite. Lastly, a more advanced solution would be to repair Windows using the Media Creation Tool, since it seems the anti-cheat system might be tripping over missing files after the upgrade.
You might be facing issues because Windows 11 has specific CPU requirements, and the Ryzen 1700 may not meet them perfectly. If you've installed a version bypassing those specs, it could lead to problems. It's worth checking if your system is up to date and possibly considering a CPU upgrade in the future, like moving to a Ryzen 5 or 7 from the newer generations for better compatibility.
I didn't think about the RAM! I'll clean it out after the current Fortnite update and see if that helps.
