I'm looking for advice on setting up SPF and DKIM for a customer using Gusto to send emails. They use Microsoft 365, and I want to ensure their emails successfully reach customers. I contacted Gusto support for the necessary SPF or DKIM entries, but they seemed confused about my request and only suggested whitelisting an email address. I'm wondering if my concerns about SPF and DKIM are still valid with modern authentication in Microsoft 365. Do SaaS apps like Gusto need these records?

If Gusto doesn’t know what DKIM or SPF is, it might be time to consider using another email service. You likely already have Microsoft’s numerous IPs in your SPF if you’re using them. Relying on Microsoft for these key setups is risky.
