Which PSU Should I Choose: Lian Li SX0850P or Corsair RM850X?

I'm on the hunt for a new power supply unit because my old Thermaltake from ten years ago is definitely reaching the end of its life. I'm looking into two options as I gear up to upgrade my system, especially since I'm planning to get an RTX 5080 soon. The two power supplies I found are the Lian Li SX0850P ATX 3.1, 850W, 80+ Platinum for €139.87, and the Corsair RM850x (2024), 850W, Full Modular, 80+ Gold, ATX 3.1 for €165.79. I'd love to know which one would be the better option for my setup, especially considering my current specs with a Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX 3060 Ti, and 16GB DDR4, as well as my planned upgrades to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 5080, and 32GB DDR5 next month. Both units are rated A/A+ tier, but I'm no PSU expert, so I appreciate any guidance!

Honestly, they're both solid options, but they seem a bit pricey. Have you considered alternatives that might offer similar specs for less? I found a couple that might fit the bill: 1) Chieftec Vega M 850W for a good price and 2) Montech Century II 850W. Make sure to check local prices, though, as they can be quite varied!

Prices for PC parts are pretty wild where I live, so these Lian Li and Corsair models were the best I could find at decent prices.

Both power supplies are excellent choices, but if you're looking to save some cash, the Lian Li should suffice. There's really no need to spend extra on the Corsair if you don’t plan on pushing your system to extremes.

From what I know, the Corsair RMx series is the superior option overall, but for budget-friendly builds, the Lian Li SX-P is perfectly fine.
