I'm curious about green laser pointers and their safety. While I know that blue and purple lasers can burn things, I've been led to believe that green lasers are less hazardous. Is there a specific wattage for green lasers that I should be cautious about?

Are you talking about those little pocket-sized ones? Because while they might fit, they aren’t exactly tiny—around 4 inches long. I know you can get them with power levels up to 5,000 mW!
Green lasers can actually be quite dangerous! They have the potential to blind you or others, which is a major concern. Even though our eyes tend to react more quickly to green light, that doesn't mean they’re safe at high power. Just like purple or blue lasers, a high-powered green laser, say 5,000mW, can cause serious harm.
It's wild that you can find lasers with powers way over the class limits! People need to really respect these tools.
Yeah, I think they’re more like compact than pocket-sized! Just be careful with them, even the smaller ones can be dangerous at higher wattages.

Exactly! Green is the most visible laser color, so even lower wattage ones can appear super bright. Always better to handle them with care.
