I'm new to upgrading computers and am planning to make some changes tomorrow. Currently, I have an RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra, an Intel Core i5-9600K CPU, 16GB (2x8) DDR4 RAM, and a Gigabyte Z390 UD motherboard. I've been looking at this bundle from Microcenter that includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, a Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2 motherboard, and 32GB DDR5 RAM. I'm curious if this upgrade is worth it, how much of a performance boost I can expect, especially for gaming, and any insights on possible jitters—I recently averaged around 80-120 FPS while playing Deadlock, but I experience some jittering from time to time.

It sounds like a worthwhile upgrade if you're feeling the need for more power. Just keep in mind that if your gaming is primarily limited by your GPU, you might not see a huge performance jump just from the CPU upgrade alone. Also, instead of the 9700X, you might want to check out the 7700X bundle that's $50 less, or the 7800X3D bundle for just a bit more. Those chips can provide better performance overall.

I play at 1920x1080—would the 7800X3D work with my current setup? Also, how much better is it compared to the 9700X?
