How to Transfer Steam Games from One SSD to Another?

I'm looking for some advice on moving my Steam games from my current SSD to a new SSD. Here's what I'm working with:

- HDD: 1TB Seagate BarraCuda SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 7200RPM Hard Drive
- M.2 SSD: 1TB WD Blue SN550 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD with decent read/write speeds
- Motherboard: MSI B560M-A Pro with a single M.2 slot.

My current SSD is getting crowded, and I need more space and faster speeds. However, I can't transfer games to my HDD because there's not enough space there. What would be the best way to transfer my games to a new SSD? Thanks for the help!

You can use Steam's built-in move feature for transferring your games. If you've got only one M.2 slot on your motherboard, the best option is to temporarily move some games to your HDD to clear up space. Alternatively, you could use an external M.2 enclosure to connect your old SSD via USB, which lets you facilitate the transfer without messing too much with the internal drives. Since you're considering a new SSD, keep in mind your current SSD is still pretty fast. Also, it might be worth uninstalling games you don't play to clear up space on your current SSD.

So you recommend getting a new SATA SSD, right? If I do, I can just connect it to one of the SATA ports on my board? Easy enough!
