I'm in the process of upgrading my graphics card from an MSI 2080 Ti to an MSI 4080 OC Ventus 3. I bought the 4080 second-hand and it didn't come with any PCIe cables. I have some leftover cables from my 2080 Ti installation (which are shown in my second photo), and I'm wondering if I can use those for the 4080, or do I need to get the official cables? I have three of the 2080 cables but two of them are missing a pin - will that be an issue? Thanks!

You can definitely use the leftover cables, but it’s super important to make sure they’re in good condition. The missing pin might be a problem, especially for power delivery, so I’d recommend replacing those cables if you can. Better safe than sorry! Usually, using official cables is ideal to avoid any potential issues, but if you're set on using the old ones, just keep an eye on the performance.

Yeah, definitely consider getting the official ones if you can. It’s a good investment for stability!
