Help with Display Issues on My Headless Lenovo Laptop

Hey everyone! So, I recently made my Lenovo Ideapad 1i (14", 7) headless by getting rid of the display. It's now connected to a 65" TV via HDMI, and I know it sounds strange, but bear with me. A couple of days ago, I powered it on, and during the Linux boot process, the screen went black and started pulsating. I'll try to share a video for clarity, but I've already attempted adjusting the resolution to no avail. The issue persists, and I'm a bit puzzled here!

To help you out, I'll need a bit more info. What kind of GPU and driver are you using? Also, which desktop environment and Linux distribution/version do you have? The pulsing could point to different issues depending on when it happens. If it starts at the bootloader, it might be a hardware issue. If it shows up at the login screen, then it’s likely a driver problem. And if it’s after you log in, it could be related to your desktop environment.

Gotcha! So, it seems to start right at the bootloader with the booting logo, then it goes black. What’s weird is that I got a message saying 'unable to end grace period.' Any thoughts on that?

That’s definitely unusual! Since it happens before you even get to the login screen, it might be worth checking your hardware connections or even trying a different HDMI cable. Sometimes these weird issues can be linked to a faulty cable or port.
