Advice Needed for Upgrading My Gaming PC

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some help with upgrading my gaming setup. It's only about three years old, but since I play competitively, I want to make sure I'm on the highest settings and getting the best FPS possible. I'm based in Germany and price isn't a huge concern. Here's what I currently have:

- Motherboard: MPG B550 Gaming Plus (MS-7C56)
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor at 3701 MHz
- RAM: 32 GB
- PSU: bequiet 850 watt
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
- 2 SSDs

I'm considering getting a new graphics card, possibly the RTX 4090 or 5080. Will I need to upgrade to a 1000-watt power supply for that? Also, are there other upgrades that could help boost my FPS? I'd really appreciate any input you have. Thanks a ton!

If you're aiming for top-tier performance, definitely plan on upgrading your CPU and GPU. The RTX 5080 or 4090 might be overkill for most competitive games; many e-sports titles can run smoothly on mid-range cards. Just so you know, if you go for the RTX 4090, you'll need at least a 1000-watt PSU, but for the 5080, your current 850-watt unit should suffice!

Thanks for the heads up! I'm currently running at about 120-140fps on lowest settings, so I'm aiming for better visuals without dropping frames too much. Do you think a better GPU alone will help if I keep my current CPU?
