Help! My Laptop’s Keys Aren’t Working Properly

I've got a laptop that's only 6 months old, and lately, it's been giving me trouble with certain keys. Specifically, the backspace, space bar (which only works if I press hard or multiple times), and the enter key have stopped functioning normally. This randomly happened, and it's not the first time—I had an issue with unlocking my laptop a couple of months back. Everything else works just fine, but I really need help because I have an essay due Sunday that counts for 15% of my grade!

It sounds like there might be some debris stuck under the keys. You could try vacuuming the keyboard, holding it upside down and tapping it, or blowing on it to dislodge anything that might be stuck. It's unlikely that this is caused by a software issue.

That sounds really frustrating! In the meantime, you might want to use an external keyboard or the on-screen keyboard so you can finish your essay while you figure out if this is a hardware problem.

Yeah, I'm trying to type my essay on my tablet right now, but I really need my laptop fixed for future use, especially for lockdown browser.

I bet this is not related to software. It could be liquid damage or just some crumbs lodged under there. Just a little tip: make sure you eat away from your keyboard!

I promise I'm not! I’ll make sure to clean it really well tomorrow.
