Should I Choose More RAM or More Storage for My New PC?

I'm currently building a PC and totally torn between two options. I can either go with 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD or opt for 32GB of DDR5 RAM with only a 512GB SSD, and both setups have the same price. I'm leaning toward getting 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage since I plan to invest in other components as well. But I'm unsure whether that's the right choice for handling heavy games versus having enough storage. Any advice or thoughts? Also, my specs are as follows: 9600X processor, Deepcool AG400 cooler, B650EM motherboard, RX 9060 XT with 16GB, and a 7300MB/s SSD. Can anyone weigh in on this dilemma?

I'd recommend going for 32GB of RAM if gaming is your priority. Although your storage will be less, you can always add a larger SSD later. Games are getting bigger, and 512GB fills up fast with modern titles. Just make sure you have enough RAM for multitasking and heavy games, which can definitely benefit from it.

Honestly, it might be smarter to grab the 16GB RAM with the 1TB SSD. Modern games can take up a lot of space, and without enough storage, you'll find yourself uninstalling and reinstalling games all the time. Plus, 16GB should be fine for most gaming scenarios, especially if you're just playing esports and FPS titles.

I see both sides, but if you're currently running low on RAM, going with 16GB and a larger SSD might give you a better overall experience. SSD speeds up your boot time and load screens dramatically, while 32GB RAM could be better for future-proofing. If it were me, I'd go for the 16GB + 1TB for the better storage.

32GB RAM is a solid choice. It's harder to upgrade RAM later since you’ll need to replace your current sticks. If you end up needing more RAM down the line, it gets a bit tricky. But SSD upgrades are generally simpler, so start with more RAM and add storage later if you find you're running low.
