Should I Upgrade to a 5700X Now or Wait for AM6?

I'm considering a CPU upgrade and need some advice. My current setup includes a Ryzen 3600 CPU with a 7800XT, a B450 Tomahawk Max II motherboard, 16GB of Corsair RGB Pro DDR4 RAM at 3200MHz, and I'm running on a 650W Corsair PSU along with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD (planning to upgrade to a 1TB when the price drops). I found a 5700X on sale for around 180 USD and I'm tempted to make the purchase. Do you think the 5700X would be a good option for a couple of years while I wait for the AM6 to come out? Additionally, I'm looking to enhance my gaming experience at 1440p and I might buy more RAM soon. What are your thoughts?

If your budget allows, consider the 5700X3D. It’s a much better investment for future-proofing than the regular 5700X, especially for gaming. The 5700X is pretty similar to the 5600X in gaming performance, so if you can find a good deal on that, it might be worth it too!

I totally get that! Here in Canada, the 5700X3D is really hard to find and crazy expensive—around 397 CAD with tax. The 5700X at 250 CAD seems more reasonable unless you have a better option.
