I just built an amazing gaming PC with an RTX 5080 and now I'm on the hunt for a monitor that can truly showcase its abilities. I'm looking for a monitor that supports 1440p resolution and has a refresh rate of at least 144 hertz for smooth gameplay and great motion clarity. My budget is around $350. I'm curious whether I should stick to a high-quality IPS panel or if I should explore the recent, more affordable OLED options. I primarily play both competitive and story-driven games, so accurate colors and low input lag are crucial for me.

For your setup, I’d definitely suggest looking into a 32-inch 4K OLED display. It will provide an incredible experience with high pixel density, and you'll really enjoy the graphics.
You might want to check out the LG UltraGear 1440p OLED monitors. They offer great value and come in both glossy and matte finishes. The glossy version gives better color vibrancy, but if your room has a lot of light, the matte could be the way to go.
If you're considering monitors, I'd recommend the MSI MAG 274QRFW or the MSI MAG 275F. They seem to have the specs you're after and are pretty well-received.
I recently switched from an IPS panel to an OLED, and it was absolutely worth it! I got the XG27AQWMG for my first OLED, and I'm super pleased with it. The color accuracy and response times are fantastic.
If you go with OLED, make sure to get one with a glossy finish and try to game in a dark room to really appreciate the visuals.
