Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC that I built a few years ago, aiming for the best value. My main uses include gaming (especially Path of Exile 2, so I need solid CPU performance), some game development using tools like Godot and Blender, and a bit of video editing. Here's my current setup:
- MSI Z270-A PRO
- 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR4 2133
- i7-7700K
- GTX 1060 6GB
I plan to upgrade the CPU and motherboard first, then tackle the GPU later on. I'm a bit torn about which platform to choose. If I stick with my current RAM, the Ryzen 5000 series seems good. But if I opt for something newer like the 7800x3D, I'd need to switch to DDR5. My budget for CPU and motherboard is around €200–400, and I still haven't set a budget for the GPU. Also, my power supply is only 450W, which might limit my options. I'd love any advice you could give on the best upgrade path. Thanks a lot!

Honestly, if you're doing productivity tasks alongside gaming, I'd recommend sticking with Intel. The 12600KF, 12700KF, or even the 12900KF are solid choices. They'd perform well for your gaming needs. For a GPU, a 3060 would be a good fit and is getting produced again.
