Will My Old PC Handle GTA 6 on Low Settings?

I have an older Dell OptiPlex 7040 with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, an RTX 3050 LP (single slot, 6 GB GPU), and an i5-6500 processor. I'm considering upgrading to an i7-6700. Do you think my setup would be able to run GTA 6 at 25 FPS on low settings when it's finally released? I've seen mixed opinions on the anticipated system requirements, but I'm mainly curious since the game will be on Xbox Series S, and my PC can run Red Dead Redemption 2.

It's hard to say for sure since the game isn't released yet, but you might struggle. Lowering the resolution could help a bit. Keep in mind, we’re looking at possibly a long wait before the game is available on PC, so an upgrade might be in your future.

While we don’t know the specs yet, it might be best to plan for an upgrade on your PC. Prepping for a potential delay could give you some breathing room to upgrade your components before it hits PC.

There's a lot of speculation going on. Lowering to 720p might be an option, but again, it’s tough since the game isn’t out yet. If you’re struggling with games now, GTA 6 could be tough.

Honestly, it's a pretty big ask to expect a machine like yours to handle a massive game like GTA 6, especially since Rockstar games can be very demanding. If you can run GTA 5 smoothly, you might stand a chance, but it really depends on how well the upgrade goes.
