How can I uninstall an app that requires a password?

I'm having trouble removing an app from my computer because it asks for a password tied to an email I don't have. Even though I have admin rights, the usual method of uninstalling through the 'Installed Apps' section in settings isn't working. Does anyone know how I can completely get rid of this app?

You could also just manually delete the app folder from the Program Files if you're using Windows or Applications if on Mac. Don't let the uninstaller fool you; the actual files don't need that password. If it's still being a pain, try booting into safe mode, or you can use an uninstaller app like Revo Uninstaller to wipe it out completely.

I've used Revo before, and it works really well! Definitely recommend it.

You could try using the task manager to close all instances of the app first. Once that’s done, find its file location and delete all the files there. That might help you bypass the password requirement.

If you're on Windows, go to the Control Panel and look for the 'Programs' section. You should see a list of installed applications. Just find the app, click on it to highlight, and then hit uninstall. That usually works!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll give the Control Panel a shot.
