Hey everyone! I'm a college student living on campus, and I'm having a really frustrating issue with my laptop's WiFi. It keeps disconnecting and right now, I can't access the internet at all, even though I'm connected. This started while I was trying to submit an assignment, and I've already restarted my laptop multiple times and reset the network settings, but nothing seems to help. This actually happened earlier in the semester and it took a whole week for it to connect again, only to start acting up now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you're having a really rough time! If your laptop says it's connected but you still can't access the internet, try deleting the WiFi device from your device manager and then rebooting your laptop. Sometimes that can help reset things. And if this issue persists, consider getting a good USB WiFi dongle as an alternative to your laptop's integrated adapter—it can make a big difference!
How exactly do I delete the WiFi device?
What brand is your laptop? This seems like it could be a driver or operating system issue. Make sure all your drivers are up to date. Sometimes a simple update can fix connectivity problems!
It's an HP laptop, and I think you're right about the driver issue. I just got a notification that my network adapter isn't working.

What brands do you recommend for those USB WiFi devices?
